- 1). Rinse off the tin part in a sink using water. Make sure the piece is clean before moving on to the next step.
- 2). Put on the rubber gloves and pour the calcium, lime and rust remover liquid into the plastic bowl. You want enough to submerge the part, but don't overdo it.
- 3). Submerge the part in the liquid and let it sit for 2 to 5 minutes.
- 4). Pull out the part and clean it off using a red scuffing pad. This should remove any excess rust.
- 5). Repeat steps 3 and 4 if the rust persists. Lengthen the time the object is submerged.
