You also need to wear protective clothing, which is just as important when taking part in this extreme sport.
The reason why this clothing is so important is because the sport is very demanding, so comfortable clothing with protection is a must.
Clothing specifically designed for extreme mountain biking is usually thinner and very loose.
Because of this it's totally difference to other mountain biking apparel.
  Physical Fitness You may think you're ready to just go out and hit the terrain because you've got all your equipment.
Well, wrong - your body will still need to be in the right condition before taking part.
Swimming is a great source when getting the body physically fit.
Your body will get a real battering, so toning the body, strengthen the major parts will really help you.
This sport is a great buzz and you'll have more control over your actions than with other extreme sports where the elements control what can happen.
It's great fun and the sport will really put your entire body through a real raw workout, with the extra bonus of real hard core enjoyment.
