Every time I am asked to design a website as a designer, we are asked for the price.
The price for the websites we design are nominal or should I say Cheap! Our clients seem to be amazed with such a big discount.
The reason we provide the website for cheap is because we know that a simple website designed to fit just the web as a presentation does not work to get any profit for the client.
We Up sell our products once immediately when we are asked for a proposal with a Search engine optimized website which is 3 times the price of a normal website.
if rejected, we still do the website and when the client understands that there will be no point having a website without traffic, we will put forward the proposal again.
This time with 4 times the cost.
Selling is an art which requires patience.
The above example works most of the time with our clients.
we have a turn around ratio of 40% which is really good.
The other 60% of the clients are just designed a website which takes less than 8 hours of work for us.
So what's the best way to get a profitable website for your client and for yourself too? It's simple.
Yes I mean it.
Keep it simple.
Make sure that you follow the W3C compatibility test.
Make sure that your keywords are not TOO competitive initially.
And most of all make sure that you have a decent design with minimal graphics.
When you keep things simple, the chances are that you will work wonders on the search engine.
Today most of my websites get through at least 1000 hits a day.
That itself creates a good profit for me without doing anything.
1000's of pages are created on each of my sites starting from topics like banking to Car stereo.
We never compete for the high end keywords.
We keep it low.
But we make sure that there are at least 300 odd keywords we are targeting.
Once you have a website with 300 optimized keywords you are guaranteed to get a decent traffic.
